To get started, today in my real estate world, Homes.com contacted me offering to help my primary website teambelt.com with organic search optimization in Google, Yahoo, etc. I listened for a while, and then politely turned down their offer. I’m still interested in it, but I’ve been working on search engine optimization myself for the last 45 days or so, and my Google placement has gone up dramatically. I’m still not anywhere near the top 10, sitting at around 110 right now. However, before I was not in the top 1000, so things are improving. However, my Yahoo ranking has fallen to around 100 as well, and that was up around 35 before, so I need to keep improving.
And thus the reason for this blog. I hope that over time, any of you that may be reading my blog will find some value, but initially, the biggest value I hope to gain is in better search engine placement.
