I was forwarded a copy of an Arizona Daily Star news article that reported that the retail arm of First Magnus Financial Corp, Great Southwest Mortgage , is no longer funding loans. On their website, First Magnus states that it is “not fund(ing) any future mortgage loans, and is not accepting any mortgage loan applications or funding any mortgage loans previously originated and not yet funded“
Needless to say, this is big news. I’ve worked with a number of loan officers from Great Southwest Mortgage, and I have a lot of respect for the work they were doing there. I wish everyone that’s there a speeding and efficient transition to wherever you land.
I’ll also offer that anyone who may have a pending loan at Great Southwest, if you don’t have a loan officer, I’ll be glad to refer a couple to you.
