September 28th, 2007 · 2 Comments

Today, Valorie Bradley was talking about the Ramblings of a Tucson Runner, noting how nice it is to live in Tucson if you are into running. Certainly Phoenix and Tucson share this in common.
But where Phoenix has a bit of a leg up on Tuscon is in the quality and number of the mountain [...]

Westworld Flags coming down in North Scottsdale

September 21st, 2007 · No Comments

The tacky flags covering the big tent in Westworld are actively coming down.  I snapped this photo of the progress today.  Looking at the photo, you’ll notice a section that’s missing near the top of the second section from the right.  That section has been missing for months.  The original covering simply didn’t measure up [...]

September 20th, 2007 · No Comments

Michael Clancy at The Arizona Repbulic reports that “Phoenix planners have seen the future, and it looks a lot like Desert Ridge,” in this article.
Around the Valley, areas with high density housing are unusual, particularly those with a true mixed-purpose lifestyle.  But to think that as many as 10,000 dense housing units (apartments and condos) [...]
