I met Sergio a few years ago at the Arizona Fine Art Expo in Scottsdale. My wife and I were looking to kick up our living room a notch, in anticipation of an upcoming party, and we breezed through the Expo, hoping for a find.
Much of the art on display was western themed, and almost giving up hope of finding something we liked, we stumbled upon this work, entitled Champs de Ble. The original oil painting was on display in his location, and we were both instantly drawn to it. The way the water was captured, just drew us in, and before we knew it, we’d bought our first original piece of art.
Since then, we’ve added to our collection with lesser expensive Glicee’s like Lumiere, Volets.
Sergio’s works are just limited to French landscapes, either. He has many fine paintings from Italian, Mexican, and even some Arizonan subjects.
Sergio’s wife, Karen, is undoubtedly Sergio’s biggest fan. She’s a true pleasure to work with. Nearly every day, she sends out her “Small works from Sergio” email, which features small sketches, drawings, and paintings that Sergio has done over the years. These are the small things he does as he studies a subject he’s considering, and some of them a truly gems.
Sergio’s gallery, Galeria Bellas Artes, is in Cave Creek, at 6245 E Cave Creek Road. If you happen to be in Cave Creek, stop by. I think you’ll be glad you did.
