Google Honors Roald Dahl’s Birthday

Google Roald Dahl TributeToday, September 13, Google has chosen to honor Roald Dahl’s birthday.  Roald Dahl died in 1990, but would have been 91 today.  Dahl was the author of such books as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, James and the Giant Peach, and Matilda.  To honor Roald, Google have changed their infamous logo on the main screen.

I asked myself why Google was honoring Dahl, and really didn’t find an answer.  I don’t know of any direct connection between Google and Dahl.  Dahl died before it was possible to Google himself.  Whatever the reason, I do enjoy Dahl’s work.  Maybe I’ll buy a chocolate bar to go with lunch…
