Joining the BCS Bowl real estate blogging wager

Lani Anglin, over on AgentGenius and ReRevealed, suggested a wager for real estate bloggers that would like to wager on their team in the BCS Bowl series.  My team, the Arizona State University Sun Devils, didn’t get into a BCS game.  I’m blaming that problem on the Rose Bowl committee’s selection of an unworthy team in Illinois.  (I’m not knocking Illinois as a team, but rather, their inclusion in a BCS game, in which they did not deserve a selection.  Illinois was ranked 13th in the BCS standings and yet the Rose Bowl committee selected them as their first choice when Ohio State qualified for the BCS championship game.  The Rose Bowl committee passed over at least 5 other more deserving teams in selecting Illinois.)  The resulting cascade of selections forced the Fiesta Bowl from being allowed an at-large selection, which then sent the Sun Devils to the Holiday Bowl.

Now, to be fair, I’m excited to find my team in the Holiday Bowl.  As non-BCS bowls go, the Holiday Bowl is an excellent bowl.  Our opponent, the University of Texas, is a great matchup for ASU, and I’m looking forward to a great game.

Ok, my little rant now over, Lani has allowed me to graciously join the wager, even though my team isn’t in a BCS game.  So, per the rules of the wager, I’m betting on ASU to beat UT.  Should UT win the game, I will use a Sharpie to write “I heart UT” on my forward, photograph it, and post it here on my blog.  With my big bald head, that should look very nice to UT fans.  Other notable real estate bloggers that are wagering on this specific game include, Jay Thompson, Jonathan Dalton, and Lani Anglin herself.

ASU has over-achieved mightily this year.  One more win will be just spectacular, and I can’t wait until December 27th, to see them get that final win of the year.
