The sacrifices you make for clients

Today, wanting to get a 2nd offer for the rental property I have listed on Silver Sage, I scheduled a showing for 6:00 pm tonight.  Yes, that would be the kick-off time for the Holiday Bowl, featuring Arizona State University versus University of Texas.  The same game that I’ve pledged to write “I heart UT” on my forehead with a Sharpie, and video tape the occasion, should UT magically win.

So I’ll miss the kick-off, and probably a bunch of the first quarter.  But I want a full price offer for this rental, and thus this is the true cost of doing business.  Truth be told, if I wasn’t so confident in a Sun Devil victory, I probably would have not pressed so hard for this showing today (the tenant prospects were willing to wait until Friday).  Plus the Devils have a habit of starting slow and finishing strong, so I’ll save myself a little anguish by not watching the slow start.

Go Devils!

I am such a loser. This has not been a good year for blogging wagers for me. Pfft…

ive been reading your blog for some time now. Although i dont have any real estate knowledge, and im pretty much just some 22 year-old kid, i find the site quite interesting to read.
But yeah, long story short, UofA is going to ‘open up a can’ on the Sun Devils next year.

Tim-

Thanks for reading the blog. I’ll be honest that at 22 years old, I wish I had just a smidgeon of real estate knowledge. I’d be far wealthier today for it. So kudos to you for getting yourself educated at a young age.

And as to UofA, I hope you keep stopping by and rooting for your team. I’m even wondering how UofA will fair in B-Ball in 2008, with Lute out of the picture. January 9th could be a very exciting day. Perhaps we can find a way to make it even more interesting.
