If there’s a bigger sucker in the RE.Net world, I have yet to meet them. I am now 0 for 3 in blogging wagers with my fellow real estate bloggers. The first loss had me posting on another blogger’s blog. The second loss resulted in a less than flattering video on You Tube. And now I’ve lost once more.
I asked anyone that dared, if they wanted to put their NCAA picks on the line against me, that if I lost, I’d send them a link. As innocuous a wager as that seems, given the cost of my pervious losses (perhaps this is why I gave less than 24 hrs notice about the wager), you can imagine I was a bit gun shy. Fortunately for me, I had only one blogging real estate agent take me up on my wager: Bill Komissaroff.
At the final tally, I accumulated just 780 points on the ESPN scoring system, while Bill finished with 790 points. My picks were horrid in the first round, tolerable for the second round, and horrid again in the third round. At one point, my bracket was worse than 95% of all brackets submitted to ESPN. I’m pretty sure the majority of trained monkeys were picking better than I was.
Somehow, as bad as my picks were, I managed to pick 3 of the final 4, but naturally, my final game was UCLA over UNC, neither of which advanced. Memphis was the one team I was sure wouldn’t make it to the final four…and of course, they nearly won the whole thing.
Bill’s final game: Pittsburgh over Tennessee. He was clearly trying to give me a chance, but it would not be.
Bill is a RE/Max agent in Delaware. His blog is more of a sports related blog, which makes sense, as he is also a radio broadcaster for the University of Delaware. Clearly Bill is a man of many talents.
I’m not sure what I will feel compelled to wager over in the future, but I’m thinking all I will be able to afford, given my past results is a tweet. That would limit me to a 140 character obligation. I might, just maybe, be able to afford that.

Steve - If its any consolation to you, I was at the 2nd home Rockies game Saturday and your D-backs smoked us. It was a bad baseball weekend for us.
Wanna talk hockey? That’s my game. Are the Coyote’s even in the playoffs? I need to check. But tweeting - I am not there yet.
Thanks for the shout-out Steve. I am not sure that I can take too much credit condsidering the team I picked to win it all was bounced in the second round, but I will pat myself on the back for picking Davidson to make it to the Sweet-16!
I enjoy your blog. If you ever have the need for an agent in Delaware, please keep me in mind for a referral.
Thanks!

Hi Bill, we import more than we export, but if it happens that someone’s moving to Delaware, I won’t forget to send ‘em your way.
