Today we honor those that have served our country, who have died so that we can be free. In my family, I don’t have a single direct relative that has died fighting for my freedom. I have never felt the sorrow of someone I knew personally being killed in action. But my heart felt thanks go to each and every person that has ever served in the armed forces, and to every family who has lost a loved one.
I will never forget.

Well, I can’t give thanks to every personin uniform because I’ve known some real assholes. However, I do give thanks to those who sacrifice so much to fight and serve for their country, who also represent their country’s ideals.
America has so much promise but it wastes so much energy on triviality. Still, I am VERY proud to be an American for the potential and promise it still holds.
