Short sale and bank foreclosures make up a good percentage of home sales in Bend Oregon. It looks like a good time to buy in your area. We have snow here and it' cold. I wish I was in AZ right now!

Hey Steve:
Good video! I'm from New Jersey so I can relate. The windshield ice scraper was a household tool in Jan and Feb. However, I must agree with Aaron about the heat being more difficult (I say the same thing about always being able to add more clothes in the winter.)

PS. It was nice meeting you today at the SEO class. Thanks for being friendly to a newbie. I don't know blog etiquette (bletiquette?) yet, so hopefully I have not committed a virtual (or is that social media) faux pas!

Hi Dru. I was born in Portland, and lived in the Portland area as a younger child, then lived in Umatilla (near Pendleton) for 8 years, before graduating from high school back in Portland.

Hilarious! Having lived in the blizzard belt on the Front Range of Colorado, this video brought back memories.

Where did you live in Oregon? I went to college in Ashland.

I lived in AZ for 28 years before moving to ABQ, New Mexico. I've survived one major winter storm and I would choose it over an AZ summer any day. You may have air conditioning but it doesn't help with the need for pot holders to drive your car in July.

Heh...well, most of us who have lived in Phoenix our entire lives would say no thanks to that. I've been snowboarding, skiing, and in plenty of below zero weather, and the amount of work that it takes to manage cold weather wardrobes and every dirt tracked ice melting goo schlopping mess that is made when you get into and out of your car and house is far worse than kicking back with a Corona under a mist system on the patio. Besides, we have air conditioning here :).

What about Phoenix summers? 4-6 months of 115? I am probably one of the few but I would definitely prefer a Midwest winter of a Phoenix summer. You can put more clothes on in the winter but you can only take so much off in the summer. Plus winter sports are awesome. I'm just sayin.
